A little
about
Gursh.

I’m currently a Payouts Team Leader at CL365.

I enjoy leading people. But I keep finding myself drawn to the systems behind the work.

That curiosity has pulled me further into software, automation, AI and business systems.

Questions I keep asking

Why does this take so long?

Usually / 01Usually means I’ve spotted something in the process.

Why are we doing this manually?

Usually / 02Usually where I start thinking about automation.

Why are we checking this again?

Usually / 03Usually makes me wonder whether the system could tell us instead.

Could the system do this for us?

Usually / 04Usually when I end up trying to build something.

Turns out, I ask these questions a lot.

That’s probably why I’m applying.

The route here

People, process,
then systems.

I studied Software Engineering, so I’ve always had that technical side.

Working in Payouts showed me what the job actually looks like day-to-day.

Leading a team made me think much more about the people doing the work.

Put those together and I’ve started looking at problems differently.

How I think

How I usually
end up building
something.

The technology bit comes after I understand the problem — not before. It usually goes something like this.

01

Something annoys me

02

Work out why it’s happening

03

Figure out what actually needs fixing

04

Then think about the technology

05

Build something

06

Break it

07

Fix it

08

Make it better

The pattern is usually

“Why are we doing that?”

“Could that be automated?”

Technology shouldn’t be introduced because it’s impressive. It should solve a genuine business problem.Otherwise, what’s the point?

One final thing

Worth a
conversation?

You already know how I work.

Hopefully this gives you a better idea of what I’m interested in and where I want to go next.
